Moldovan Citizenship application process. Application processes especially when dealing with bureaucratic and legal processes are usually difficult to understand. We try to explain the application process for the Moldovan Citizenship by Investment Program as simply as possible. During the entire application process, our experienced consultants will be happy to help and advise you at any time. The Moldova Citizenship Program is open to apply for all interested applicants. Even stateless persons can participate in this program. The application process is divided into the following five points.
The applicant must provide us with a legible copy of his current passport. If you want to apply for the whole family, we also need a legible copy of their current passports from all family members older than 12 years. Furthermore, we require from you a fortune from which shows that your possible investment capital is at least 250,000 euros. Finally, at this point in the application process, a non-refundable fee for due diligence and 50% of advisor and lawyer fee is charged.
In the second step, we submit your application to the government. The government will do a detailed background check on the applicants. The result of this report will be sent to you in writing. If the government report is positive, the candidate must sign a written agreement with the Citizenship Commission. After signing the agreement further processing of the application will take place. Also, at this point, further documents of the applicants must be completed and submitted. We will send these documents to you and help you to process them. At this time, the payment of the donation or the purchase of the property or government bonds is due. Depending on which investment opportunity you have decided, you must make these payments now. Likewise, all government fees and our advisory fee are payable. Payments must be made in Euro. The payments are initially deposited in an escrow account managed by a lawyer from the government.
Upon receipt of the payments on the escrow account, the Government will send you a written confirmation of a successfully completed application. Subsequently, the escrow account is dissolved and the funds are transferred to the respective recipients.
The Naturalization Certificate is now officially issued by the Citizenship Commission. Applicants will receive a copy of the citizenship certificate.
The Citizenship Commission issues the official citizenship certificates and passport. Now you are official citizen of Moldova.
Before an application is submitted to the government, all the relevant information provided (including the background of the applicant and any dependents) will be verified by one or more specialized due diligence service providers. Furthermore, the specific fees must have been received, and the source of all funds must have been verified. Moldova has developed a four-tier due diligence system, which is considered the most thorough in the world.
